Russ, a lonely boy, lives and works at a motel with his father. When a sick girl, Bev, and her mother come to the motel, Russ secretly befriends her.
Through their fragile relationship, Russ discovers the girl’s mother is making her sick. Trying to save her, Russ wreaks havoc on both their lives.
